Inspiration!

Writing has become more than a chore or an assignment. It is now a great pass time.If a person were to ask me why I enjoy it so much, I simply say its "Easier to write my opinion then it is to voice it." But do not get me wrong, I know how to communicate perfectly when I need to be direct. My assertiveness for writing has become more relevant since I am in college getting ready to begin my professional career.

My communications director and professor for numerous classes Mr. Fredregill, has played a huge part in why i want to pursue writing as a vital element in my career endeavors. He challenges our thoughts with tough critiques but criticism that we can handle as young adults. His opinions make us think about what we write and how we write it.

Ethics
Aside from writing, as a hobby individually. I love researching new material and also learning about different theories in the world of Ethics. Ethics became an interest of mine when I took the course in the Fall of my Junior year of College at #AIBCollegeOfBusiness. I was able to acquire knowledge of how different people percieve different thoughts and ideas to be considered moral. In relevance to writing and composing I think that Ethics becomes important when we consider the audience to whom we are speaking. I have hopes of avoiding any confrontation or confusion.

Some of my favorite Theorists and theories in Ethics are:

  • Immanuel Kant (Deontological Theory)
  • Ayn Rand (Selfishness in society)
  • John Stuart Mill (Utility)
  • Virtue ethics

End of the Year

Well, 2014 is coming to an end fast. With so many tragedies and so many changes its hard to keep up. As a person I have learned this year to adapt and accept those changes. Whether it be through dating other people. living with a new person or simply improving my mindset. 2014 has caused many people to become violent in that violence is the answer to every thing that happens. For example the last few incidents involving law enforcement and harmless individuals. 2014 has forced people to think about what is to come for 2015.

New Years Resolutions

I hate making these, because lets be honest, who seriously stays on top of these for 365 days. Some of them are unrealistic and some of them are cliche. However, I can come up with a few minor resolutions that I can attempt to follow for the upcoming year.

1. BUDGET MY MONEY
         Limit my spending
Start saving for my after college expenses
Start Saving for my 21st birthday in the Summer
2. WORK OUT MORE
         Keep my nice shape
         Try not to over eat
         Keep my abs just right
3. WORK ON MY INTERNSHIPS
Find a good paying one in the fields of either
Public Relations; Media Coordination; Media Law; or Marketing
4. BECOME MORE ORGANIZED
start living the way I plan to live when I am on my own

Too much to say

Words are just apart of our language. a small part of communication, but what happens when you run out them. how else would you express your feelings? Using Emojis? The tone of your voice? Hand gestures? How about through your heart? The best way to speak and express yourself is through your heart. I mean the rhythm that beats through your chest or how about the rate it beats when you are afraid, sad or happy. If people could only understand me by the way my heart speaks, my world might as well be an open door .

Family

Family is where you are comfortable. Family is the more than the people that you surround yourself with daily. Family is the little gatherings that you have every so often and just sit around and do absolutely nothing but enjoy each others company.

Floor Seats versus regular seats

Okay so I came to the conclusion that floor seats are wonderful and everything but if i do not have a great view of the entertainment then it is not worth it. I mean if u are on the floor and have a huge pole in your face and everyone continues to walk in front of you and obstruct your view then what is the point. Do not get me wrong I love being up close on the event but i also like my view to be nice. So floor seats are just as good as regular seats. Because the perks of being real close to event is exceptional! But make sure you have a decent view of the show.

Just class

I want to get something out of the classes that I'm taking in school (college) but I feel like it's going in one ear and out the other. I want to learn things that will benefit me and my career aspirations

Story of My life and Inspirations

Picture #1
This photograph is of my younger brother Spencer Jones and I. This was taken at my father’s family reunion this past summer in Columbus Ohio. The photographer definitely captured more than my brother and I but our personalities too. At eleven, my brother favors me in many ways. His eyes are hazel like our grandmother’s, his nose like our mother’s, and his mouth, are similar to mine. We are also the same skin tone. The only physical difference is that he is boy and seven years younger than me. From this photograph you can see that I am definitely the girly-girl, feminine, athletic, and wise. My brother shows off his humorous nature, his adolescence, and also his wit. Our distance from each other shows that we are the true definition of siblings. We have are disagreements but we are the literal genetic make-up of both our parents Joyce and Christian. We stand out the most because we crave to be the center of attention through out the day.. This picture also shows the stage of growth we are in. I am leaving my teenage years and slowly entering my adulthood, while my brother is entering his junior high years. My brother and I have a bond that no other person could dare to understand. Being in Iowa this long has made me truly miss him.

Picture #2
This is a photograph from my senior year scrapbook. This is a picture of my late best friend Ta’keisha Jackson and I on the night of my Senior Year Grammy Mock Elections. I was accompanied that night by an angel. This photograph is one of the last pictures I have of her and I. Ta’keisha passed away in a house fire this past April exactly ten days from her birthday on April 12th. Every time I lay my eyes on this picture I fight back tears because I know I will never share another moment like this with her. Ta’keisha was truly a special person. Her death made her a hero. She died from the injuries she received while attempting  to save her younger sister in the house fire. I still remember the last time I spoke to her in person, which was during Christmas Break last year. She passed away while I was still in Iowa so I had no way of attending the funeral. This summer however I did spend quite a bit of tie in the cemetery paying my respects. Although Ta’keisha is no longer on Earth with me, I can still feel her presence every time the sun shines during the day.

Picture #3
This is a picture of the AIB Women’s Basketball team from last year. In this photograph you have Bailey Boswell, Alyssa Muntz, Arriel Hunter, Hannah Redinus, Katira Young, and myself. We were preparing to play in a basketball game in are home gym in the Activity Center. As you can see we were listening to the “Star Spangled Banner” being played through the speakers. Everyone was preparing for it to be a good game. I remember that this was a game that we did win. During this season we had a different coach, Coach Keith Coleman. He was a marine major. So everything that we did in basketball resembled that of the military. We were standing proudly with one hand over our chests and the other behind our backs. This was a clear sign of respect for our nation’s flag and also because it was mandatory according to our coach. We were wearing our home jersey’s which were white with our previous eagles logo with matching warm-ups. The clock in the background symbolized how much time we have on the clock before half-time to start out on a winning streak. The spectators also in the background symbolized belief that we would do well in the game. Unfortunately one of our team mates, (KAtira young) is not dressed. She could not participate in this game for personal reasons.
Picture #4
This is a picture of the pop singer Rihanna performing at the 2010 Kids Choice Awards. Rihanna is one of my favorite artists. She is also my idol. Many people say I look like her. However we do share different features. In this photograph you can see her choice in a performance prop was that of a robot. Rihanna likes to be animated when she performs. So to entertain children she chose an appropriate item to have on stage. She was performing her smash hit songs, “ Hard”, “Rudeboy”, and “Don’t stop the music”. Rihanna has a great way of capturing her audience’s attention, in this case children. Although some of her previous stage presences were not fitting for children, you can see by the too-too styled skirt-dress that she was doing her best to appeal  to a younger crowd but not seem so childish. According to source the audience seemed extremely entertain by her performace.

Picture #5
This is a photograph of the RNB diva, Beyonce. In this picture she is in the middle of recording her video for her smash hit song, “Crazy In Love”. This video became so popular that it was named, Song of the decade, in 2009. Beyonce, is more than a singer. She is an entertainer, entrepreneur, mother, idol, dancer, performer, actress, fashion designer, and down-to-earth southern girl. She is married to one of the richest men on the planet, Jay-Z. Together they are an unstoppable, dynamic duo. It just so happens that he performed along side of her in this video, and several others. Beyonce is a very charming and talented women. Women across the globe admire her style, originality, ambition, and drive to encourage women that it is okay to embrace your natural beauty and embrace your bodily curves. With her hip shaking, feet tapping songs, everyone can enjoy her music. She incorporates several different styles of music in her own. In the studio she is known as just Beyonce or Bey, But when she takes center stage during award shows, or even at her own concerts she is phenominal and her fans crave for more. Although this woman began in a small girls group she has evolved in to an unstoppable entertaining sensation. Now she is more commonly known to the world as the one and only, Queen Bey. Other female artists are constantly getting compared to her, because they have been given the task to exceed her success. But with Beyonce still taking center stage, this task may be impossible.
